Direct Access

Virginia law now permits individuals to be treated by a Physical Therapist without a Physician's prescription for Physical Therapy under Direct Access if:

• The patient is not currently being cared for by another health care practitioner
• The patient identifies a practitioner to whom they would like the initial evaluation sent
• The patient gives written consent for the PT to release personal health information to that practitioner

At this time, we are unable to provide care under Direct Access for those individuals who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents. 

We recommend that you call your insurance company prior to scheduling your Initial Evaluation to confirm that your insurance covers direct access visits.
